expressive.

i recently realized that it's now been a full year since i started tumblr. i'm much more a visual person than i am good at expressing things with words. at first tumblr became a place where i'd simply post up things that i liked. i figured it'd be a better way to store them than saving them into folders on my laptop. but it slowly evolved into something more personal. pictures are worth a thousand words, and the things that i post with my pictures--whether it be lyrics from a song, something a friend said, a tagline, lines from a movie, anything that that ever stuck--would capture so perfectly the way i feel at a given time. so much about life is about timing. blogspot posts are literally thoughts, word for word. my posts on tumblr are like archived memories. i guess that's why i feel so much more attached to them.

the "archive" feature in tumblr is my favorite part. it's a visual gallery of everything in chronological order, all in one window. when i see those pictures, and scroll through the year, the vibe and changes in my moods are so visible to me, it's crazy how connected i feel to myself when i look at my year in review.

it's always good to remember, i guess as long as you don't get stuck.
